head and feet attached.

a friend brought over a chicken for us recently.
it was a gift from his home town.
it was delicious.  H and i {chad} thought anyway.

when our friend dropped the chicken off i placed it in the fridge.
later, as Tricia was busy in the other room
i de-headed it and de-footed it {secretly}.

H watched.  i explained to H that mommy probably won't eat the chicken
if she sees the head and legs attached.
so i told him that we couldn't tell mom until after dinner.
{we weren't going to eat it until the next night.  that is a long time to not tell mom.}

fast-forward.  this same friend took us out for a drive around the town that night
to see the lights by the river.  italian street and other night sites.

H in the backseat says, "dad, can i tell mom now."
"no, not now."  i was fearful he was going to tell mom
about the head and feet in front of our friend who gave us the chicken as a gift.
i didn't want to have to explain that my wife is put off
by the chicken when its head and feet are still attached.

fast-forward to the next day.  one hour before chicken dinner.
H couldn't hold it in any longer.  he was wiggling as he tried to hold it in.
H spilled the "chicken guts".
mom didn't eat the chicken.  she said that it just didn't sound good to her.
did it have anything to do with it's head being attached?

that just means more for us.  and it was yummy.

here are the pictures mom.  enjoy.
