day 4: summer palace. rain. duck. wall.

the day we scheduled a driver to take us to the summer palace and the great wall, it rained.  just kidding.  it poured.  and poured.  i think we have more pictures of the huge number of umbrellas we saw at the summer palace, than of the actual summer palace.

after the summer palace we dried off at a restaurant.  amazing food.

one of my favorite chinese dishes.  shredded kind of fried potatoes and a yummy sweet spicy sauce.

next we went to the great wall.  thankfully it stopped raining.
