3 years later and in a different country.
i remember when we took H home from the hospital a little over 3 years ago.
i think we tip toed down the hospital hallway.
i was probably frustrated by all the extra noises in the hospital.
{can't you see my precious newborn baby is sleeping!?}
when we had H safely in his 5-point harness car seat we slowly.
and i mean slowly drove home.
there was no music playing from the radio.
chad and i did not say a word on the way home.
we just looked at each other and new exactly what each other were thinking as we smiled.
things are a little different 3 years later and living in a different county.
the people at the hospital hailed a taxi for us and we carefully sat down.
the taxi had a faint smell of cigarette smoke.
the radio music was on nice and loud.
and the driver also had his walkie talkie thing saying something in chinese.
then the taxi driver put the car in drive.
we swerved left and right.
put our brakes on quickly.
we avoided slow moving vehicles.
i braced myself as we went over the railroad tracks.
{not easy after major abdominal surgery}
and we all made it home in one piece.
and M was still sleeping.
different isn't always bad.
we had the same results this time.
home safe. and ready for the adventure to begin.
