happy birthday H.

H celebrated his birthday twice.  once with friends a couple days early.

and again on his actual birthday with mom and dad.

chad was able to take a personal day on H's birthday.

he has mastered holding up only 3 fingers.

H's friends that came to celebrate.

we had 4 kiddos and 10 other adults for dinner and birthday cake.

the next pictures are from H's actual birthday.  we had a full day of fun.

every time H and i go to emart he always asks to ride the rides outside.

we never ride them because at that point i usually have many bags of groceries and it just seems impossible.  i usually tell him, "maybe on your birthday."

chad and i thought it would be a perfect thing to put a smile on his face.

and a smile is definitely what was plastered on his face all day. 

when he got off this ride he said, "that was a really fun ride!"

this ride appeared unsafe when i saw the woman stick some metal pole in water and then plug it into an outlet.  powered by water electricity?  i don't know.  we didn't see any sparks flying.

and H enjoyed flying the helicopter.

after hanging out at emart we took a taxi to trash mountain.

another fun activity H always asks to do is take a boat out on the water and drive around the mountain.

there were not a lot of people at the park this day so it was perfect.

i however was not allowed to go on the boat.

they told me because i was pregnant i could not go on a boat ride.  what?  really?

well.  chad and H still went and H loved it!  especially when chad handed the wheel over to him.

isn't it so nice and green here!  i love the spring time here in tianjin.

we finished the night with special k bars.

they were so good.  i made some homemade butterscotch chips for the frosting.
