chinese circus.

our good friends invited us to join them at the circus one afternoon.
we had so much fun!
it was small, but had some pretty crazy acts that made you go, "WHAT?"
{i know.  the picture quality is horrible!  it was dark and lots of movement.  oh well.}

inside the big tent.

they had a lot of horses.  they rode them around the ring super fast.  then the trainers would do crazy tricks.  like flip.  ride backwards.  stand up on the horse.
then they asked for volunteers from the audience to ride around super fast.  so fast that they strapped the volunteers to a long rope that was connected to the ceiling.  super safe, i am sure.  they encouraged the volunteers to try standing up as well.
the first person stayed sitting the entire time.
the next person actually tried to stand up and then flew off almost flying into a steel metal structure thing.  the horse trainers gave each other looks that they were glad he didn't die right there.  it was a little too close!  and i don't think they thought he would actually try to stand.
the next two guys we think were actually part of the circus but made to look like volunteers.  one of the guys pants split open and the other guy lost his pants exposing his angry bird undies to the entire audience.  lovely.

of course they had dogs.

this act almost made me go into labor.  seriously.
you can only see one half of the thing.
the other half has another big circle.  there was a guy in each circle.  and the whole thing spun and went round and round like a windmill.  i am not sure how they got in there not to mention stay in there.  and of course they stepped it up a  notch and then walked on the outside while the whole thing turned.  then they juggled while the walked on the outside and even walked blindfolded.
there were a few times they stumbled.  there is no net for "safety".  like i said.  i thought i was going to go into labor.

the bears were creepy.  they were real.  but almost seemed like costumes because they were so human like.  this bear is playing leap frog over his trainer.

every bear can spin hula hoops around his neck, right?

and of course they had lions.

after the circus we ate dinner at a restaurant in the emart area and rode the carousel around once.

  1. The undies were so "lovely" that you posted them on the internet for all of the world to appreciate? Ha!
