ikea is open.
first i must say that these pictures do not do what we saw justice!
i have heard that our city has about 12 million people.
with that said i think about 1 million of them were at the
grand opening of ikea today.
along with little man, me, and a few friends of ours.
what were we thinking?!?
we showed up around 10:15. there were soooooo many people in a line. yes. you read that correctly. a line. see usually lines here are blobs and you hope to get to the front eventually. but not at ikea. it was a line. a guard told me i should pick up my son because there are a lot of people. hmmm. i'm almost 6 months pregnant and my son weighs at least 38 maybe more pounds. not going to carry him. when i told the guard i was pregnant he was fine with little man walking and let us cut in line! yay!
you are looking at a line of millions. ok. maybe thousands.
just looking at these mobs of people reminds me of the chaos.
i think i will take a nap now!
we ate lunch first because we knew it would get ridiculously crowed later.
the kiddos watched pluto while we got food.
finally the checkout.
i would like to say i won't be going back to the chaos anytime soon.
however we need to buy a crib and other baby stuff.
so we may be back sooner than i would like.

wow. i didn't realize it was the opening yesterday! y'all are crazy. absolutely crazy. but hey, what a great documentation of said event!
