dear God,

tank you for this food.

tank you for mama's lunch.

tank you for my lunch.

tank you for mama's soda.

tank you for my milk.

tank you for my fork.

tank you for mama's fork

tank you for the apples.

tank you for mama.

tank you for baby in mama's belwee.

tank you daddy feeling lots better.

amen.

and then we ate.

if it were thanksgiving or christmas dinner it could have been hours before we ate.

ev.er.y.thing on the table is named and given thanks.

isn't that sweet?
