happy wednesday.

{strawberries for breakfast! yum.}

this morning little man had a play date at a local friend's house.

it is one of the best ways for him to learn the language.

the little girl doesn't speak english.

and we don't speak chinese.

well.  not yet anyway. 

we have been invited by the family to go to their home for chun jie.

{chinese new year}

yay!  we are excited to spend the afternoon and evening with them.

and i am also super excited to share videos of the fireworks

with you from the night.

i have seen people's videos of the night and it is crazy!  seriously.

a little scary too.

fireworks go off all the time here.  when someone is born.  buried.  married.  new business.

but we have heard the night before chun jie, it is pretty amazing.

hard to put into words.

but it goes on and on and on and on.

and you really want to go to sleep.

oh well.  we are looking forward to the light show.

we always want to make the most of our time here.
