i love lefse.

each year i put off making lefse because it is so much work!

this year i really put it off.

usually i at least have it done before thanksgiving.

this year i have it done one week before christmas.

oh well.  it's done and it is good.

a couple friends came over to help which always makes the job easier.

maybe i should have started with this but....

do you know what lefse is?

well.  it is a norwegian soft flat bread.  

it is made out of potatoes, cream, butter, flour and salt.

then when it is all done you spread some more butter on top and sprinkle it with sugar.

i think the key is to roll it super thin.  always better that way.

i am very thankful that i brought all of my lefse making tools with me to china.

we always ate lefse at thanksgiving and christmas growing up.

making lefse is a tradition i will continue.  even if i put it off until the week before christmas.

doesn't it look so yummy?  it is.
