first snowfall fudge.

one of our christmas traditions is to make fudge on the first day it snows.

and not just any fudge.

grandma lunde's fudge {chad's mom's mom}.

which means it is quite the science to get it right.

though there is a recipe, last year it took us three tries and it still never turned out.

tonight we had better success.  i think it was stirred two times too many.

but.  it is closer than anything we made last year.

and it tastes quite good.

little man is very hands on and loves to help with each step.

{it didn't actually snow today.  but yesterday it semi-sleeted.

so, we are a little off on our tradition.  oh well.}

this is just one of many of our traditions to come.
