stick day

it is not called exactly that

but the other day was 11/11

so happy stick day to all of you reading this

this day is celebrated each year by giving pepero to friends and teachers

pepero is basically a dipped pretzel stick.

the other week we (the soccer team I coach) 

were headed to Beijing

it was a foggy morning (really foggy) so the highway was shut down

as we were traveling our bus had to slam on its breaks.

we could only see a few feet.

like traveling in a snow storm for those from MN.

we slammed on the breaks as we nearly hit other cars who had

stopped on the highway, due to accidents.

we then had to weave through many accidents.

semi trucks with their whole front ends smashed in.

we traveled an hour before we had to pull over to the side of road

along with all the other cars.

we sat in the bus for 5 hours, and then turned around

we never made it to the games.

we were very thankful that we didn't get into an accident.

things are going well at work.

I enjoy my elementary and middle school classes.

I enjoy being able to incorporate life into my teaching.

the community is very supportive.

as the holidays approach we are missing everyone.
