a must eat food at thanksgiving. i think.
one of my favorite side dishes at thanksgiving is green bean casserole.
here in china you can find the yummy fried onions. but.
they cost around $6 or $7.
yikes!
so this year i made my own.
yes. they are very good. better than the ones with preservatives!
i will never by them again.
we are going over to some friends house this afternoon for a more "traditional" thanksgiving meal.
chicken wings. {turkey is so expensive}
mashed potatoes.
gravy. {made by me}
dressing.
carrot dish.
cranberries.
green bean casserole. {made by me}
scalloped corn. {made by me}
rolls.
macaroni pie.
apple pie.
pumpkin pie.
and more dessert!
it is sure to be good. we miss our family and friends back in america so much.
but. we are very thankful for the community here. it is amazing!
we are going to beijing tomorrow for a couple nights.
when we get back we will share some more fun pictures of our chinese thanksgiving.
now the question is.
what is your favorite thanksgiving meal?
and.
what are you thankful for this year?

I am most thankful for the exceptionally good health of my friends and family. I hear so much about terrible illnesses happening to people but fortunately not to anyone close to me.
