last saturday.

Today {last Saturday, our vpn wasn’t working}: 7:25 am -7:25 pm
Wake up at 7:25, thanks little man for sleeping in.
Daddy and H take a walk to the street for some street food,
breakfast sandwich and a flat bread that is fried with an egg inside.
very good, and greasy (which is the not so good part)
The flat bread is interesting; as it sizzles on the greased cooktop,
it begins to bubble, they pop the bread bubble and poor in an egg.
voila, egg in a fried bread.
Next, have coffee.
T made some vanilla creamer (you can’t get it here).
Thanks babe for the creamer, it was good.
Skyped oma and opa.
Showered.
T and little man took a walk to the market to pick up food for dinner.
I cleaned dishes and picked up around the house to prep for guests.
T and H arrived back and we had left overs:
mac n cheese and Jiaozi {dumplings}.
Played cars and trains.
H helped me vacuum.
Little man took a nap, we did more dishes and cleaning.
Tricia prepped dinner
Some local friends came over around 4:30 and we shared about Thanksgiving.
They brought over some “chestnuts {that had been} roasting on an open fire.”
I’ve sung the song, but have never tried them.  Hen Hao {very good}
Tricia thinks otherwise.
We ate some scalloped corn {just like mom makes}, chicken, buns, and baked potato.
Our version of thanksgiving with our friends.
Little man and their little one played and played and played some more.
The kids didn’t want to sit at the table.
H would try and copy her words, it was cute, he’ll pick it up some day.
Back to 7:25, this time in the p.m.
Our friends left, more dishes, more dishes,
and some more left on the counter for another day.
Tomorrow morning we are going to a farm to pick green carrots with them,
and then lunch at some jungle restaurant with a seal in a pool.
We are thankful for this day.

from chad.
