our week off in pictures.

it has been so mucho long since we have been able to be on the internet.  

we were in beijing from october 1-4 and then when we got home our internet was expired.

the guy came to help us switch to a different internet company, but the modem he brought was broken.

yesterday he came with a new one, but the router did not work.

tonight he came with a new router.

and we have internet. 

i can't imagine life without internet, right?  especially living overseas now.

that is our main.  

no. only mode of communication with people back in the states. 

little man is excited to talk to his g's and boppa's!

while in beijing we went to a yummy tex-mex restaurant.  

the chips and guacamole were fantastic.

i know this picture makes it look like vomit, but it was so good.

i think avocados are the one and only food i miss from the states.  

well.....if you start teasing me with what you had for dinner, i might change my mind.

after beijing we had the rest of the week off.  

i took chad and little man to the noodle soup shop i talked about earlier.

i again played it safe with my soup ingredients.

little man however insisted on putting these pink ball things in chad's soup. 

they are so adventurous aren't they!

they tasted like lobstery stuff.  i don't know that first hand.  that's what they said.

the weather is starting to turn a little more fall like outside.  yay!

we drank all of our yummy trader joe's hot chocolate we brought from the states.

it was worth it.

one day we went to the drum tower and just walked around looking for a drum for little man.

and we enjoyed some yummy cotton candy.

and we found little man a drum!

do you remember what that means? 

yes.

we said bye bye to his beloved B's {pacifier}

he exchanged them for this drum {which played all the way home}

and a stuffed dinosaur.

praying continually? yes.

giving thanks in ALL circumstances?  trying.

one day we went to the zoo.

let's just say we got up real close.

the lion was a little too close for my comfort.

i'm thankful for internet today.  and excited for my skype date {with oma} when i wake up.
